Since 1995, Dia has commissioned artists to create original projects for the web. Chosen for their interest in exploring the aesthetic and conceptual potentials of the medium, rather than their fluency or proficiency with technology, each participant has created a wholly unique and distinctive work.
To celebrate the rich diversity of this fifteen year series, Dia will spotlight one web project each week over the course of 2010. Starting with Fantastic Prayers, the inaugural piece created by Constance De Jong, Tony Oursler, and Stephen Vitiello and working towards Dia's newest presentation by Cecilia Edefalk, launching September 21, 2010.

For her first web-based artwork, Irish artist Dorothy Cross considers the condition of altered vision— seeing in blue and white— that can be a side-effect of the drug digitalis, which is derived from the wild foxglove flower found commonly in Ireland and Europe.
